How Many Days I Need to Visit Each Country
How many days do I need to visit Country X?
Do you want to be sure you will have enough time to see all the main tourist attractions the destination offers?
It is the first and most common question when planning a trip. Fortunately, you have come to the right place.
As usual, to save you time and get straight to the point, I’ve created the following table, which shows how many days you need to visit each country to see everything important.
You only have to type the name of the country you want to visit in the search bar, and in one click, you will have the answer without reading long articles.
Before we begin…
First, allow me to clarify a couple of things:
- 1️⃣ I suggest a certain number of days for each country based on itineraries that cover the main attractions at a reasonable pace.
Therefore, you will need more days if you want to take it very relaxed, or fewer if you’re going to visit fewer attractions. Have a look at my post, Top tourist attractions to discover the main sights to see in every nation.
- 2️⃣ I did not factor in the travel time to and from the country, as it varies depending on your location.
- 3️⃣ Please note that the list does not feature all 194 countries. I’ve removed eight countries from the list due to the high level of risk associated with travelling to those destinations. Travelling to those locations is strongly discouraged.
- 4️⃣ If you’re searching for a country that isn’t listed, feel free to leave a comment. I’ll add it for you. 😉
BEFORE VISITING any country, ALWAYS check the latest information regarding its situation to confirm that it is safe to travel.
Here is the European Commission page link, which indicates each country’s risk profile. You only need to select the country of interest from the dropdown, which provides all the detailed information. You can even download it in PDF.
How Many Days I Need to Visit Each Country

Additionally, you can specify the number of days you have available, and it’ll suggest recommended destinations for that duration.
Moreover, you can sort the table by number of days, city, or continent. You are welcome to play with it!
